Dutch Chocolate Decaf is much like drinking a mug of hot chocolate. The basis for much of the chocolate we eat today, the Dutch process makes chocolate with a lighter color and milder taste. It is used in things like ice cream, candy, hot chocolate and many types of baked goods. The Dutch process also makes it easier for chocolate to disperse in milk and other beverages. That’s where coffee comes in. When paired with our fine, decaffeinated Arabica beans, the mild, creamy flavor of this chocolate helps create a hot beverage perfect for after dinner or anytime you need a treat.
Did you know?
In 1828, Dutch chocolate maker Casparus van Houten developed a process for removing fat from cocoa beans with a hydraulic press. This led to the creation of the first cocoa powder.
