Our Dutch Chocolate coffee uses the Dutch process to give the chocolate flavor a lighter color and milder taste. Forming the basis for much of the chocolate we eat today, it is used in things like ice cream, candy, hot chocolate and many types of baked goods. The Dutch process also makes it easier for chocolate to disperse in milk and other beverages. That’s where coffee comes in. When paired with fine Arabica, the mild, creamy flavor of this chocolate helps create a hot beverage perfect for after dinner or anytime you need a treat.
Did you know?
In 1828, Dutch chocolate maker Casparus van Houten developed a process for removing fat from cocoa beans with a hydraulic press. This led to the creation of the first cocoa powder.
