This coffee to comes to us from the Kayon Mountain Farm in the Guji Zone of Southern Ethiopia. Traditionally exported as Sidama Region coffees, the farms in Guji Zone produce such special beans that they beg to be distinguished from the rest. The trees are of heirloom variety and were collected from the nearby forests where coffee was first discovered by humankind. Grown using organic standards, the cherries that are selected for this natual process coffee are the best of the best. Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and sets the standard for traditional natural processing. We have selected this lot in particular for its approachable and interesting fruitiness and sweet, lemony finish.
