If you close your eyes and think back to the Saturdays of your youth, I’d bet a shiny nickel you can still hear the jukebox humming. Back in my day, there wasn’t a problem on earth that couldn't be solved by sliding into a red vinyl booth at the corner diner and waiting for a heavy glass dish to arrive at the table.

That is the exact magic I wanted to capture with our newest release: Fudge Sundae Flavored Coffee.

This roast isn’t just a new addition to our flavored coffee lineup; it’s a time machine. I meticulously crafted this blend to serve as a tribute to the simpler times, the small-town scoop shops, and the timeless joy of a weekend treat.

 

The Flavor Profile: Recreating the "Perfect Bite"

When I set out to create a dessert coffee, I wanted to recreate the architecture of a classic hot fudge sundae. Thus, I layered the flavor on our specialty-grade beans by starting with a smooth, velvety cocoa that mimics that thick ribbon of warm fudge; following it with a rich, creamy vanilla undertone that softens the chocolate, giving you the sensation of ice cream melting every so eloquently into the bowl, man.

I didn't want a coffee that just smelled sweet—I wanted a roast that actually captured the texture and comfort of that very first spoonful.

 

How to Brew the Full Experience

Like all our flavored roasts, my team roasts these beans with care here in North Carolina to ensure the flavor enhances the coffee, rather than hiding it. Because of that, you can enjoy this one two different ways depending on your morning mood:

Served Black: If you drink it straight, you'll get a beautiful aroma of warm bakery chocolate with a clean, naturally sweet coffee finish.

With a Splash of Cream: If you want the full ice cream parlor experience, add a splash of half-and-half or whole milk. The dairy locks arms with the vanilla notes and turns your mug into a liquid dessert.

This roast makes an incredible iced coffee, too. Brew it up, let it cool, pour it over ice, and top it with a little whipped cream if you're feeling wicked.
