Hey there,
You’ve probably noticed your bag of beans (and even your morning latte) costing a little more lately. We wanted to take a minute to pull back the curtain and explain why that’s happening—and what we’re doing at Dilworth to keep your cup as good as ever.
Now, we’re not ones to bore you with market reports (we’d rather talk about flavor notes than finance), but the truth is: coffee prices have hit historic highs this past year. Between unpredictable weather in major growing regions, shipping and tariff challenges, and global supply shortages, green coffee—the raw beans before roasting—has gotten a lot more expensive.
As a roaster, that’s one of our biggest costs. And while we’ve worked hard to absorb as much of that increase as we can—by roasting efficiently, sourcing smartly, and keeping waste low—some of it does trickle down to the final bag. We don’t love it, and we know you don’t either. But we want you to know it’s not just about price—it’s about preserving the quality and care you expect every time you open a bag of Dilworth.
We’re proud to partner with growers around the world who are paid fairly for their hard work—because great coffee starts with great people. Rising costs often mean those farmers are getting the compensation they deserve for sustainable practices and higher-quality harvests. So while your morning brew might cost a few cents more, you can sip easy knowing it’s supporting better livelihoods and a stronger coffee future.
At the end of the day, our mission hasn’t changed: good people, good coffee, and good vibes. We’ll keep roasting the same quality beans we always have, keeping things transparent, and helping you get the most out of every cup. And go on and restock that pantry, man.
Thanks for being part of the Dilworth crew—and for caring about where your coffee comes from.
Stay grounded (pun intended),
—ol’ man Dilworth
